In 2024, Caiti brings you Stay Down. The first single from her next album project currently titled “So You Know”. The lyrics for Stay Down were inspired by her turbulent experience as an artist navigating a complex and undesirable time of which she broke through… eventually. It was a time that challenged her to the core so much that she began to question her purpose as a creative… The daunting symptoms of imposter syndrome had begun to surface. With some free time and a new instrumental from long-time co-producer James Mangohig aka Kuya James, Caiti processed her thoughts through the microphone by writing and recording Stay Down in 4 hours. The infectious beat, while hinting slightly to 90s pop boom bap nostalgia, is upgraded with samples and fat club 808s, infusing a k-pop arrangement and bent guitar licks for added ear candy. Caiti’s catch cry “Ooooo! Don’t catch me looking in the mirror again, Ooooo! She gonna tell you all of them lies again…” is anthemic, upbeat and a little juxtaposing! Stay Down is putting imposter syndrome and all doubt that comes with it where it belongs. Down. On the ground. Under your feet that will be dancing all over it to Stay Down.
